HOUSTON URBAN ARCHIVE
AN ECLETIC MUSIC HOUSE DESIGNED TO FIT THE MUSE IN YOU
Mission & Vision
We advocate for musical variety, and cultural diversity among Black/African Americans; while creating a positive peer group between other marginalized people to share, learn, and grow.
Punctuality. Preparation. Performance.
Music takes a great deal of discipline to master. However, it only takes a listening ear to enjoy. It is our aim to provide an educational and
re-creational atmosphere that is firm, fair, and fun.
How to join the HOUSTON URBAN ARCHIVEAs a tool of the community, we service the surrounding schools and community centers with the help of local musicians seeking to express their gifts, talents, and abilities. All members are hand-picked and vetted to find a configuration suitable for all involved.

Hustletown Heroes
Slow, Loud, and Brass Band
As the first ensemble created under this banner, this street band has taken on a diverse personality. From jazz of the early 1900's to the popular street beat of the second line; from festival stages to the 50-yard line with the university marching band, this group has shown its versatility and willingness to get up, get out, and get moving.
We are in search of high-spirited, eager artistic fellows to learn, share, and grow with. Everything from abstract calligraphy to jazz-tap breakdancers; from granny awarded shower singers to garage band accordion players.
